Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and its predecessor Medical Research Council of Canada (MRC).

The accession includes records supporting various MRC / CIHR operational and advisory committees (block 1020). Operational committees include: the Task Force on Clinician Scientists; the Revision of Laboratory Biohazard Safety Guidelines; the Peer Review Advisory Group; and the Human Genome Organization Committee. Advisory committees include: Women's Health Research Issues; Financial Resources; Career Pathways; Science; Policy, Planning and Evaluation; Health Research; and International Research Funding Agency Meeting.

The majority of the accession consists of documentation on the Working Group on Ethics with Human Subjects.
