The series consists of files that provide in-depth information about Mr. Fullerton's involvement in a number of different organizations, working in a large variety of sectors. The material included in this series consists mainly of correspondence, reports, press releases, meeting minutes, memoranda, speeches and financial documents that represent his various other activities. For example, Mr. Fullerton was on the Board of Trustees of the Alexander Graham Bell Institute of the College of Cape Breton (1980-1986), a member of the Board of CHER - Radio Cape Breton Limited (1969-1975), and of the Hudson Institute (1976-1980), the Fidelity Trust Company, the Patrician Land Corporation (1980-1982), and the Cours Claudel (1958-1972). He has also been Treasurer for the Canada Council for the Arts (1957-1962) and partner in different finance groups such as MerBanco Group and Magna Carta Fund Limited.
This series also includes files about Mr. Fullerton's advisory work for the Royal Society of Canada (Financial Committee Advisor - 1960-1968), a plan to partially nationalize Canadian's energy (Advisor to P.E. Trudeau - 1980-81), and a working group on Workforce, Technology and Economy of the Future (Adviser to Donald J. Johnston - 1983).
This series includes files documenting Mr. Fullerton's implication in numerous charity and non-profit organizations such as the Stuttering Canada Association, the Teachers Investment and Housing Cooperative, and the Ditchley Foundation.
This series also includes his implication in the academic sector, in particular as a Professor of Urbanism at the University of Calgary, and the honors he received from a large number of Universities and Institutions in Canada.
This series also documents his later passion for Urbanism, and his contribution to various associations and institutions working in this field.
This series finally includes a small amount of consulting files Mr. Fullerton worked on during his career, and files containing his numerous personal correspondence. For example, it includes a several of letters to and from Ray Scott (friend, scientist and engineer in the pulp and mills industries) interested in the same general topics as Fullerton, with the same "franc-parler".
