This accession consists of various ledgers and manuals that were previously contained in the collection of the National Postal Museum. Included are minutes of meetings, cash books, beneficiary lists and annual general statements for the Post Office Department Mutual Benefit Association (ca. 1879-1925); Customs/Excise Warehouse Log (1925, province of Québec); Ledger of Post Office Transfers, Openings, Closings (October 1965-September 1975; mainly Alberta/Northwest Territories).
The manuals, issued by various branches/directorates include: Accounting Branch/Treasury Operations, Financial Procedures/Postal Standards (ca. 1966-1981); Mail Collection and Delivery - Manuals of Operating Procedures: Revenue Sub Offices/Staff Post Offices (ca. 1966-1981); Administrative Services, Manual Distribution Letters (ca. 1970-1978).
