Mr. Birney read his poems in the following order: "The Bear on the Delhi Road", "From the Hazel Bough", "Plaza de Inquiscon", "Meeting of Strangers", "For George Lamming", "Way to the West", "Billboards Build Freedom of Choice", - all the above poems from the book The Poems of Earle Birney (McClelland and Stewart, Toronto, 1969); "Like an Eddy", "There Are Delicacies In You", "I Think You Are a Whole City", are as yet uncollected; "Time Bomb" and "Bushed" from the book Selected Poems 1940-1966 (McClelland and Stewart, Toronto, 1966).
