Ken was born in Arnprior in 1923. He enlisted in the Army during World War Two (WW2), took officers' training and missed active duty. After the war he attended University of Toronto, where he met Jean. Jean and her father joined the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) to support Noseworthy in 1943, when she was seventeen. At university, Ken recruited her to the Labor Progressive Party (LPP) club. They lost their Party-ed union jobs, Jean became a united front operative, then worked in Peace. Ken turned to teaching, and the pair quietly moved away. Toronto club life is discussed, and the Cold War's impact on Party candidates. While the pair had doubts as early as 1951, the Party was a tremendous school for organizing. By the time of the Khrushchev revelations the couple had left Toronto. <88mn>Langue :EnglishRemarques : -
