The roll begins with tape at the head that reads, 'CDN ARMY ARP'. Shots of army personnel in khaki fatigues marching. Shot of the barracks writing room. Salvation Army building in London. A woman sings on stage in front of a big band. Outdoor social. Red Cross exercises. Leader reads, 'Elements'. Shots of a snow storm. Damaged trees. Flooding. Clouds. Leader reads, 'Hydro Towers brought Down by Weight of Snow and Ice'. various shots. <12mn 30s>

1. Production date based on the film edge code. Subject description taken from hand inspection and the Roffman Collection finding aid shot list. In some cases the finding aid shot list is more extensive than what actually appears on the roll.~2. Film rolls in this collection are in need of proper leadering and splice repair. Most shots on a roll are taped together and require cement splices prior to any screenings, video transfer, or client requests.~3. Library and Archives Canada is now the copyright owner for material originally under copyright to Julian Roffman. Julian Roffman died 16 November 2000, therefore, the material in this collection for which he was creator is under copyright until 31 December 2050.~4. A.R.P. stands for Air Raid Precautionary.
