Accession consists of the minutes of the board for 1946 to 1992, and accompanying board member documents (BMDs) for 1971 to 1992. The minutes are bound volumes arranged in chronological order.
Box 1 contains an index to volumes 1 and 2 of the minutes (1946-1970); however, coverage of volume 2 (October 1959 to March 1972) is incomplete, and stops with the meeting of 15 March 1967. This index is an alphabetical listing of subjects of board deliberations, with references to the date of the meeting and the page number of the relevant volume.
The BMDs consist of bound volumes of consecutively numbered, chronologically arranged documents. The BMDs are collected by the Board Secretariat and made available to board members for tabling and discussion at upcoming meetings of the board. Most of the documents come in the form of memos, letters of correspondence, regulation and order documents, reports and studies deemed to be relevant to the agenda for a particular meeting. In the minutes are frequent references to particular BMDs. Each volume of BMDs includes an index with the following information: BMD number, date issued, the pertinent AECB central registry file number (or numbers) and a brief one line description of the subject.
