Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Income Securities Program Redesign Project, a Major Crown Project. The goal of ISPR was to re-engineer the delivery and operation of the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security programs. The project aimed to address shortcomings in an aging delivery network with older computer systems, many manual processes and inadequate telephone systems. Included in the accession are administrative and operational records, the majority of which fall within the 7000 block of the file classification system, the block reserved for Major Crown Projects.
