This accession contains engineering and architecture capital projects planned and/or initiated in the Northwest District. Subjects covered include road paving, water and sewage projects, housing and renovation projects within the context of the on-reserve housing programme.
The accession also includes school and hospital records created in the district and dating from the first half of this century. There are school returns for Hartley Bay, Kincolith, Kitkatla, Metlakatla and Port Simpson. The hospital records originated in the Port Simpson and Port Essington hospitals. Included are patient registers which record diagnosis and treatment.
