It is used as a lubricant for machinery and also in iron foundries. The principal deposits occur near Calabogie, Ontario." The film includes footage of White Fish Lake, near Calabogie, and the village of Black-Donald which is named after the mine. Shot of a projectionist lubricating a film projector with graphite lubricant. Various shots inside the mine shoring up the mine with heavy timber, air drills at work, and preparing to blast. Various shots of of loaded rail cars dumping, and emptying loads into the crusher. Shots of the refining plant, washing screen, wet separation tables, and settling tanks. Shots of the flake graphite being polished by large French Buhr Stone machines. Shots of the graphite being bagged and loaded for transfer to the shipping point.
