The girl spurns the advances of a "half-breed" who comes to her cabin with a gift of fur pelts. Later, the same suitor attacks the girl, but she is saved by a young surveyor. The girl and surveyor become friends and eventually fall in love. The "half-breed" sees this relationship and jealously plans an ambush for the surveyor. Unfortunately, it is the surveyor's friend who is shot and the "half-breed" pins the blame on his rival.
