A short film which highlights the motorcycle training program for Canadian soldiers during World War Two. The film presents how important the motorcycle has become in a highly mechanized war and the importance of having well trained riders. Filmed in England, the film follows the training of the recruits from their early days learning the workings of the internal combustion engine, to the more practical experiences of starting the engine, riding a motorcycle at slow speeds, highway riding and turning corners at high speeds. Once a rider becomes comfortable highway riding, it is off to the forests for some "bushwhacking" and some off-road lessons, which include, traversing a river, riding on loose sand, and riding over small hills of dirt and sand. Final sequence is a enactment of a rider sent on a mission to deliver a message through hostile territory to an isolated group of soldiers preparing for an early morning assault. Bravely riding through woods and enemy fire, the messenger delivers the note safely and enjoys a post mission cigarette. <7mn 37s>
