This accession consists of records created by the Fund for Rural Economic Development (FRED) in Fredericton for the northeast New Brunswich area. Most of the records consist of case or project files, although there are several files of a financial nature. The projects include proposals for management training, inprovements to harbours, development of an Acadian village and the development of the King's Landing Historic site. Memorandas, correspondence, reports, statistics, budgets, audits, maps and site plans are found in the files which demonstrates the cooperation of DREE with community development groups, provincial/municipal governments and consultants on the projects.

These records were originally held in Nova Scotia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
