The files in this accession document the activities of three manpower programs in the Prairie Region during the 1970'S. These programs consist of the Canadian Manpower Adjustment Program (CMAP) designed to encourage labour and management cooperation in solving internal workplace problems such as absenteeism, high turnover, etc.; The Business Management Development Program (BMDP) was established to offer courses to upgrade the management skills of owner/managers and supervisory personnel in small business; as well as one general file concerning the administration of the Local Initiative Program in this region.
The records consist of detailed reports, correspondence, memoes and other documentation providing an excellent overview of these programs' operations in the Prairie Region.
