This accession consists of meteorological registers for various locations in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. The registers, some of which are bound, contain forms into which were entered daily meteorological observations recorded by observers at the various weather stations. The information includes temperature of the air, mean temperature for each day, pressure of vapour, relative humidity, cloud cover, rainfall, snowfall and wind direction and speed. Also included is a column titled "Miscellaneous phenomena and time of occurrence" which, particularly in the earlier period, was often completed in some detail. While most of the forms throughout the period contain the above kinds of information, the forms do vary over time and place.
