In an opening statement Dr. Edwards voices opposition to the bailing-out of the nuclear industry by the federal government to help sales of the CANDU nuclear reactor. He explains the uselessness of such aid on a domestic level and then tries to clear up the relationship between nuclear power reactors and nuclear weapons, claiming that Canada's sale of the CANDU to Argentina is dangerous.
