Interviewees include: actor David Nykel, who was born in Prague in 1967 but grew up in Canada; Jana Outrata, who tries unsuccessfully to reclaim the family hardware store in Prague which belonged to her family since 1840 but which was nationalized by the Communists in 1948; and Georgina Wyman, former deputy minister of Supply and Services Canada, whose mother had escaped from Czechoslovakia to Canada and whose grandfather had a successful textile business which was taken over by the state in 1948.
