She speaks about such subjects as: her work with Palestinian children; the difficult living conditions among the Palestinian refugees and how this affects the children; the low-level jobs available to Palestinians; American support for the state of Israel; prospects for grassroots leadership of the Palestinians in the occupied territory; the Palestine Liberation Organization; controls on the population such as curfews; the difficulty of advocating co-existence because young people experience discrimination and violence; Israeli policy; American support for Israel; her disappointment in the failure of the Israeli left to support the Palestinians and an incident in which she tried to protect a child when soldiers were threatening to shoot. <37mn 21s>
