CKRM Regina radio special broadcast featuring an interview with newsreel cameraman and director Roy Tash. The interview was conducted while Tash was on location in Regina to produce THAT MAN MAY LIVE (1953), a sound and colour film for Cockshutt Farm Equipment Limited to be completed by November. Tash discusses the film, stating that it is intended as "a salute to the soil and the tools of the men who cultivate it", with a focus on the history of Canadian farming equipment and methods, from the sickle and scythe to the combine, and modern farming methods. According to Tash, Regina was chosen as it is the wheat province of Canada, and wheat farming has the potential for varied and interesting shots of, for example, combines, grain elevators, and loading grain cars. Tash also discusses filming at the Laskey Brothers Farm in Moose Jaw. Further discussion includes Tash’s early career as a newsreel cameraman, filming notable figures including Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt, various Governor’s General of Canada, filming the Canadian Government Arctic Expedition of 1924, dangerous situations he experienced while filming, his work with Association Screen News (ASN), and his cameraman on the shoot, Bob Brooks. <10mn>
