This is a plan of Fort Henry during its reconstruction between 1832 and 1836. The main plan shows the ground plan of the new fort. The design is well represented and dimensions are given. Three cross sectional views of certain segments of the proposed Redoubt are also shown. These cross sections give dimensions and locations of certain features, such as barracks and parts of the walls. A note at the bottom states that the plan was "with Colonel Nicolls report to Sir Alex. Bryce, dated 23 July 1832". Gustav Nicolls was commander of the Royal Engineers in Canada from 1814-1816 and from 1832-1837. The plan bears the stamps of the Board of Ordnance and of the Inspector General of Fortifications.
