(1) Front elevation, second floor plan, main floor plan, basement plan, canopy detail, cornice detail etc. (NMC 108792) -- (2) Side elevation, plan of staircase, elevation of staircase, ornaments, etc. (NMC 52550). Built about 1848, the facade has a conventional Georgian symmetry with small-bracketed eaves. Whitchern has a graceful Ionic porch, classical entablature-but for the Italianate touches detected in the treatment of the balustrade. The interior provides perfect examples of the refined drawing and dining rooms of the Mid-Victorian era.
