Sound recording of most of a performance at the Toronto Free Theatre of part one (scenes 1 and 2) the chamber opera The Death of Enkidu (music by Harry Somers, libretto by Martin Kinch). The title role is performed by Glyn Evans, with James Anderson (1st Soldier), Donald Bell (2nd Soldier), Giulio Kukurugya (3rd Soldier), Susan Gudgeon (Old Woman), Nancy Schieber (Courtesan), with Victor Feldbrill serving as musical director and conductor and with accompaniment by a small orchestra. The production was mounted by The Co-Opera Theatre in association with the Toronto Free Theatre. The performance is followed by extended applause, after which there is approximately 7 minutes of audience and background noise. <47mn 42s>
