The map is basically a general map of the Dominion of Canada. Many cities and towns are named as well as significant land features. Transcontinental rail lines are shown and named. Proposed extensions to all of these lines are also shown. The bottom of the map sheet is covered by advertisements for the Globe. The date [1903] was selected because the map shows the western areas still divided in territorial districts. However the G.T.P. railway is shown as a proposed railline and this route did not gain attention until 1902-03.
