These two uncoloured maps show the areas occupied by the French and British circa 1755-60. Forts of both powers are shown, as are towns, colonies and other features. The N.M.C. also holds four copies of a similar map which bear the imprint of John Hinton and the: Universal Magazine. The differences between the Hinton and Lodge maps are in the engraving and the inset. The Hinton maps have an inset of Fort Frederick while the Lodge maps have historical notes on the colonies.
