Notes from former database: "This map shows the area from Massachusetts to Quebec City and from Albany, New York, to the Ocean. The map is intended to show the struggle between Britain and the Thirteen Colonies in the north, and so it emphasizes the waterways and some mountains which were of military interest. Also included are areas of settlement. The map was published to accompany: The Life of George Washington... by John Marshall, London, published for Richard Phillips, 1804-1807, 5 vols., folded maps. The NMC has one other copy of the map (See Note 1)."
