This set of maps outlines in detail the events leading to the battle on the Plains of Abraham, and the movements of forces during the battle itself. Batteries, fortifications, regiments, major buildings, and fleets are located and identified. At the bottom of the map is printed: "For 'History of the United States', by Elroy M. Avery". The map is located facing page 276, volume IV, of Avery's work. The surrounding pages describe the events depicted on the map. The map is based upon a map by Captains Debbieg and Holland, and Lieut. Des Barres.
