The sub-series consists of promotional and learning material, public service announcements, post-appointment debriefing interviews with labourer-teachers, and interviews with leaders and staff of the College. It includes three videocassettes of the Read Canada / Bookshow series with five programs: "Reading for Life", "Reading for Life: Steps to a Learning Circle", "Day by Day", "Classics for Kids", and "Lisons Canada!" In addition to these recordings, there are three videocassettes promoting or educating viewers on programs like Beat the Street and Learning in the Workplace. Another videocassette holds a compilation of promotional and publicity clips.

The sub-series also holds audio recordings, including an interview with Jessie Lucas in 1988 discussing her 43 year career with Frontier College which started about 1919. In addition, there are debriefing interviews with Rod Garbutt, Dale and Lynn Peters, and Shirley Humphries, and an oral report by Lyla MacEachern. For the 100th anniversary in 1999, there are also audio cassette recordings reflecting generally on literacy and Frontier College. There is also an audio reel with three public service radio announcements (two in English, one in French) promoting the exciting work of labourer-teacher positions; the two in English are narrated by Ian Morrison.
