TRAILER PARK BOYS is an edgy, street-level Canadian television comedy/drama series shot in a faux-documentary style. It centres around Ricky, Julian and Bubbles, three adults with boys' minds whose lives were shaped by their experiences growing up in the Sunnyvale Trailer Park: stealing, fighting, smoking, scamming, getting drunk and listening to Van Halen. They had their share of trouble with the law and most of their adult lives have been spent behind bars of one kind or another. It is not that the boys cannot differentiate right from wrong, it is just that right rarely presents itself. In this episode, Ricky finds out that Bubbles blames himself for the fact that Ray's trailer burned down. Instead of telling him what really happened, Ricky lets Bubbles take the blame, following the logic that once someone has taken the blame, it is not available for anyone else to take any more. J-Roc wants Ray to pay what he owes for the groceries. J-Roc and Ray argue, while Julian concludes there is only one way to solve the problem. Julian asks Ricky to keep a look on the hash driveway, while he takes Cory and Trevor with him to steal gumball machines. The boys shoot the gumball machines and use the coins to play video lottery terminals. They need to get some dough to purchase some new furniture for Ray. Bubbles, meanwhile, is still overwhelmed with guilt. Ricky and Bubbles think up a great idea: they ask their friend Shitty Bill to tow Ray's old rig sleeper over to his lot so that Ray has a place to sleep. Now that Ray has a roof over his head, Ricky and Bubbles decide to steal groceries for him. J-Roc, however, catches them and the boys start arguing. J-Roc is upset that the boys are entering his territory - he has been stealing groceries for months and selling them to residents of the park. <23mn 5s>
