The sub-series consists of subject files, administrative and legal documents, speech material, reports, programs, promotional material, invitations, donations, correspondence, clippings, and photographs related to Adrienne Clarkson's activities in support of numerous national and international organizations.

Frequently Adrienne Clarkson volunteered or was asked to fulfill different functions for Canadian and international organizations, institutions and corporations, whether that be in the role of speaker, presenter, moderator, administrator, judge, advisor, donor, campaigner, leader, or other role. These organizations include the ABC Residents' Association, Amnesty International, the Anglican Church of Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the City of Toronto Book Awards, the Coalition Against Free Trade, the Cumberland Park Jury, the Festival of the Written Arts, the Friends of Public Broadcasting, Gentra, IMZ International, International PEN, La la la Human Steps, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the McLuhan Teleglobe awards, the National Action Committee on the Status of Women, Oxfam, PEN, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI), the Royal Conservatory of Music, Royal Trust, Trinity College, the Writers Guild of Canada, York University and many others.

The sub-series includes files related to the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, the legacy project founded by Adrienne Clarkson upon leaving Rideau Hall in 2005; Adrienne Clarkson and John Ralston Saul co-chair the Institute.
