Frank Willis of the departure of the First Canadian Division for overseas in December 1939; comments by Flight Lieutenant Tilley; Mackenzie King speaking to Canadian soldiers at Aldershot in August 1941; reports by war correspondents Matthew Halton and Marcel Ouimet from Italy; Chatelaine magazine managing editor Marietta MacPherson speaking on air force women; an interview by Andrew Cowan of Earl Macdonald and Pat Cook of HMS Sheffield; an October 1944 report by Bill Herbert on how Canadian soldiers helped an Italian conscript; and RCAF chaplain Reverend Ernest Harston speaking from Cairo in October 1944.
