HISTORY BITES examines history in a satirical fashion. Host/producer/writer Rick Green guides us through various periods of world history as contemporary television programming might have depicted it. Through humorous re-enactments, direct and voice-over narration, parodic skits and songs, we learn facts about the past and their link with the present. Season VI consists of two one-hour television comedy specials - UNCLE SAM and MOTHER BRITAIN. The second part, HISTORY BITES: MOTHER BRITAIN, which first aired on Canada Day, July 1, 2005, covers the history of the relationship between Canada and Great Britain from the colonial times and first explorers to the patriation of the Constitution and the Charter of Rights. This episode features actors portraying all twenty one Canadian Prime Ministers up to that point. <46mn 45s>
