A look at how America must stand up against careless talk, racism, and hatred in their communities. The film states: "All Americans are proud of their country, for America stands for democracy." Short sequences on examples of hatred and racism, and how communities are spoiled by careless talk. There is footage of white supremacists and of New York Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia giving a speech in New York against racism and hatred. The film also deals with the importance for fighting men to work together. There is a focus on racial tensions in the southern U.S. The narrator states: "To deal rationally with the problem of racial and religious intolerance and to stem its rising tide is becoming accepted as an obligation by Federal, State, and Local Government." Sequence in Massachusetts of the formation of a committee on racial tension. The film states that under democracy all men are born equal and all men are fighting for the rights of mankind. The rights of mankind are why we fight. The film ends with shots of school classrooms containing students of different races pledging allegiance to the flag. <16mn>
