A documentary about homeless, starving children, of which it is said there are 500 million around the world. The program looks at the life of a little girl named Chayita, who lives in an orphanage in Honduras supported by sponsors who live in other countries. Michael Maclear interviews Naomi and Herbert Bronstein, a couple who have adopted children from Ecuador, Vietnam, Cambodia and Canada, and who have started Families for Children, an adoption agency which places children from other countries in Canadian families. David Stewart, a Canadian who spent a year in Honduras, talks about his work in Canada looking for sponsors for the orphans in Honduras.
