Panoramic shot of Vancouver harbour preceded by the inter-title; "In 1792 Captain George Vancouver, emissary of King George III, reached the Lion's Gate - the entrance to the world-famous harbour." "In less than two generations, Canadian enterprise has built a beautiful and progressive city." Street scenes of the city of Vancouver. A streetcar passes with the following signage along its side; "Greater Vancouver Exhibition Aug. 4-14." Banner along side of streetcar reads; "Grand Musical Spectacle - Vancouver Exhibition Aug. 4-14." The film continues with points of views from atop streetcar looking down at the traffic and pedestrians below. Another streetcar passes with the stop 'Fairview' posted above the driver. A banner on another streetcar advertises "Coldstream Guards Band V.E. Aug 4-7." Shot of the Vancouver Exhibition entrance followed by a panorama of Vancouver harbour. Shot of crowds of people lined up along a railing to watch a loaded ocean liner pass by. "In spite of phenomenal growth the beauties of Vancouver are unchanged."~Various shots of majestic looking residential homes, gardens and flower beds. People pass by huge trees as they ride on horseback through Stanley Park. "Gigantic trees that were spreading their boughs to pacific breezes when the cedars of Lebanon were being hewn for King Solomon's temple!" Panorama of the Parks tall trees as they reach for the sky." "Vancouver is noted for its beautiful homes. Hycroft - a private residence atop of Shaughnessy Heights." Various shots of large homes, gardens, and flowers.~Shot of people traversing the Capilano Canyon suspension bridge. English Bay Beach filled with throngs of people, women in bathing caps bathing in the sun and water. The film ends with a sunset as a ship passes by and the following intertitle; "She holds the key of an empire free / whose glory has but begun / the nations meet at Vancouver's feet / the east and the west are one." <8mn 18s>
