The series consists of textual records, photographs, and sound recordings of CNWE's local groups. The textual records primarily reflect the activities of the local groups in Toronto and Ottawa, but there are also files for local groups in Prince Edward Island, St. John's, Sudbury, Regina, Edmonton, and Calgary. These contain annual reports, notices of local events, calendars of meetings, posters and flyers for lectures, retreats, and social events like potluck suppers or launches of Christian feminist books. The Ottawa group's files hold minutes of its meetings and a draft of Jennifer Waterman's manuscript, "A CNWE Memoir: 1987-2001". The Toronto group's files document its activities including its "Purple Stole Actions" where its members wore purple stoles in protest of women's exclusion from the priesthood. These demonstrations were held in conjunction with Chrism Mass at St. Michael's Cathedral. There is substantial selection of photographs of the Toronto group, many of which depict these purple stole actions. There is one photograph of each of the Newfoundland and Calgary groups. The sound recording is an address by theologian Dr. Mary Malone on 30 November 1997, titled "Leaving Home/Finding a Voice", on the event of her departure from St. Jerome's College in Waterloo, Ontario and return to her childhood home of Ireland.
