This series documents M. B. Williams's published works relating to Canada's National Parks, employment with the National Parks Branch of the Department of the Interior, and post-retirement involvement with Parks. Correspondence with J. C. Campbell at Parks in 1936 shows that Williams acted as an unofficial agent for the branch in regard to Grey Owl's tour of England. Campbell's letters reveal his growing disenchantment with Grey Owl and pleasure in Williams's handling of the situation. This material includes publicity photographs of Grey Owl. Letters between Williams and Marius Barbeau show their friendship and working collaboration, and his call upon her editorial skills for some of his works. The files for "Guardians of the Wild" hold correspondence with the publisher, Thomas Nelson and Sons Ltd., and British and Canadian newspaper and radio reviews, revealing the response it elicited from critics. In two letters, Prime Minister Mackenzie King tells how much he enjoyed her book.

The series also includes notes on the early history of Canada's National Parks; Parks publicity booklets; and correspondence relating to her work for the Parks branch from J. B. Harkin, Jean Chrétien, Sylvia Van Kirk, Nicholas Ignatieff, and W. Fergus Lothian, among others.
