In this episode, the program looks at case of Bernard Wolf, who in the 1930s had tried to purchase a cottage at the Beach o' Pines community on the shores of Lake Huron near Grand Bend, Ontario. Mr. Wolf, had been denied the right to purchase a cottage because of an agreement amongst cottage owners in the community which prohibited Jewish people from purchasing property in the resort. Mr. Wolf with the aid of the Canadian Jewish Congress took the ruling to the Supreme Court of Canada, and eventually won, allowing Mr. Wolf the right to purchase properities in restricted communities.Langue :EnglishRemarques :Détails de l'inventaire : -
