This accession consists primarily of subject records created and/or maintained by the Department of Fisheries and Ocean's Freshwater Institute in Winnipeg relating to various operations of the department's Central and Arctic Region and include files from the offices of G.H. Lawler, Director General; Stan Schick, Director Inspection Services; D.M. Chauvin, Director Program Coordination and Economics; R.M. McMullen - Director Science; and R. Clarke, Director of Fisheries Habitat Management; etc. In addition, there are board meeting and report records pertaining to the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation, general program records relating to various operations of the Freshwater Institute, such as Inspection Services, Resource Allocation and Habitat Management, Scientific Research, Fisheries Habitat Management, various executive records (including meetings, workshops, reports, correspondence), etc.
