It sheds light into the incredible bond shared between the Inuit and their dogs. Historically, the husky provided the Inuit with a means of travel and companionship, and was the foundation of Inuit communities. As the Government began its forcible relocation program, the values of the Inuit disappeared along with the dependence on the husky. In the 1960's a massive slaughter of thousands of dogs occurred without blame. An attempt to restore the populations to their former prominence has begun with the creation of a ten day conventional dog sled race. Hopefully with increased awareness, the breed will bounce back. <50mn>Langue :EnglishRemarques :Détails de l'inventaire : -
