This sub-series consists of pamphlets; internal correspondence; press clippings; position papers; internal information bulletins; event flyers; press releases and communiqués; incoming-outgoing general correspondence; incoming-outgoing letters of support; grey literature; internal reports and draft reports; event information bulletins, posters and publicity; memoranda; election campaign flyers; a complaint form; minutes of meetings; and tour itineraries and publicity. The records document the development and activities of the Revolutionary Workers League / Ligue Ouvrière Révolutionnaire (RWL/LOR) from its formation in 1977 to its transformation into the Communist League / Ligue Communiste (CL/LC) in 1989. The records also trace the activities and evolution of the Canadian Trotskyist movement's youth wing, the Young Socialists / Ligue des Jeunes Socialistes (YS/LJS). Among the activities and issues documented are the formation of the RWL/LOR; the unification of the Canadian Trotskyist movement; RWL/LOR constitution and amendments, 1977-1986; RWL/LOR relationships with the Fourth International, the NDP, the YS/LJS, and various socialist factions and tendencies within Canada, 1977-1987; RWL/LOR-sponsored candidates in municipal, federal and Quebec elections, 1982, 1988-1989; Self-determination for Quebec, 1977-1989; RWL/LOR interventions in the trade union movement, 1978-1987; RWL/LOR support for groups and individuals in countries such as Iran, Cuba, Grenada and El Salvador, 1977-1987; Hugo Blanco Defence Tours, 1974, 1978; and Carlos Tablada tours, 1989, 1993.
