1 pin.Langue du document :anglaisPortée et contenu :The series documents the honours, awards, and tributes received by June Callwood, and includes correspondence, certificates, art work, plaques, medals, and other material. Her files for the 1987 Casey House fundraiser, "A Tribute to June Callwood", include a programme for the evening, tickets, seating arrangements, and letters written by hand that night to June for compilation in a guestbook. Other files pertain to awards or prorams named after her such as the June Callwood Programme in Aboriginal Law, established in 2001 at the University of Toronto, and the June Callwood Humanitarian Award in celebration of Karen Kain in 1996. The series includes her certificates for the Order of Ontario; Member and Officer of the Order of Canada; Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of Alberta, 1988; nomination for the Gemini Award for Best Anchor or Interviewer category for her National Treasures series in 1994; and the June Callwood Scholarship at Centennial College, School of Communication Arts, 2003. It also includes her medals for Member and Officer of the Order of Canada (R5274 volumes 1-2) and the Paul Harris Fellow medal and pin (R5274 volumes 3-4). There are plaques for awards of Life Membership in the Writers' Union of Canada, 1994; Woman of the Year from B'nai Brith Toronto, 1969; the Community Hospice Association of Ontario Award, 1994; and an Achievement Award from the American Association of Physicians for Human Rights, 1990.
