This sub-series comprises records relating to Callwood's 1990 book about the trial of Kenneth Parks, who was accused of stabbing his wife's mother while sleepwalking, and his acquittal on murder charges. It documents her research of the trial, negotiations with her agent and publisher, publicity and reviews of the book, and negotiations for film feature rights. The research material includes correspondence with Marlys Edwardh (the lawyer for Parks), Ron Haggart, and sound recordings of interviews with the accused's wife and family, lawyers Marlys Edwardh and Delmar Doucette, and Crown prosecutor Cathy Mocha. There are also clippings and court transcripts and judgments of the Parks case, other cases involving sleepwalking, the Supreme Court's 1992 decision, and material on gambling addiction.

Correspondence with Malcolm Lester, Ann Fullerton, and Marilyn Biderman of Lester & Orpen Dennys, and with Edwardh discusses the idea for the book, negotiation of rights, and publication. Negotiations for the film rights are documented in extensive fashion by contracts, option and purchase agreements, consent releases, and legal correspondence, which involve individuals and companies like John Ketcham of Pacific Century Television, Screenventures, Kim Todd, Alliance, Susan Cavan of Accent, Lyle Slack of Southbound Productions, and Cosgrove-Meurer. The files hold Lyle Slack's first draft of the script and clippings of reviews of the 1997 made for television movie.
