Photographer's caption: Fruit stands in the Okanagan Valley are often flashy affairs, over-decorated with multi-coloured flags of all sizes and mountains of produce - magnets for multitudes of tourists in station wagons and monstrous motor homes. It was nice to observe the scene - a young boy, somewhat timid in nature, selling the cherries he'd picked while waiting, in the hopes of earning enough to buy a new bicycle.
