Note générale :

The caption to this photograph indicated that this image was taken at Gjoa Haven. However, Pualukaq's son Jacob Ikinilik, lived in Gjao Haven, but later moved to Baker Lake.
This individual has also been identified as Pualunnak from the Cambridge Bay area.
In his book, "Across Arctic America", author Knud Rasmussen writes about Amajorsuk, an Inuk with a wooden leg (New York: G.P. Putnam's, 1927, page 203). Rasmussen's reference to Amajorsuk might be the same individual in this photograph.
