Early promotional short film pushing Pathex's new 9.5mm camera and home theatre technology. Brief instructional sequences demonstrate the basic operation of the camera, including the loading of film, tripod setup, and hand cranking propulsion. Instructions on the preparation of the film into the projection system for exhibition and use of the rewind mechanism are also included. The Pathex system also provides new consumption possibilities with respect to cinema, as clips of touristic sites from family vacations are shown as an example of preserving memory. As well, the film's suggestion of 'buying films like phonographs' suggests the entertainment possibilities that the Pathex system affords, as a variety of clips of Hollywood films starring Harold Lloyd, Our Gang, Snub Pollard, Will Rogers, Douglas Fairbanks and Bessie Love are shown. Another suggested benefit of the Pathex system is sports education, where footage of international golf champ Gene Sarazen is shown in slow motion as a way to analyze and improve one's own golf swing. Documentary subjects are another educational possibility that the Pathex system can exploit, as a series on 'Palestine' is offered as an example.
