Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women

The 1992 Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women (CACSW) symposium was held over the course of three days in April 1992. This recording documents day two of the symposium. An introduction is made by Glenda Simms, CACSW President. This is followed with a keynote speech by Judge Andrée Rufo. A panel discussion follows, chaired by Lynn Golding, CACSW member. Presenters include: Sheila Lumsden, youth co-ordinator; Josée Curado; Denise Edwards, student; Judy Van Stralen, student; Sheileigh Trenchard, student; Cheryl Gabriel, student; and Sally Thompson. Subjects discussed include lack of information, non-traditional education and employment, women in the labour force, and education systems. <1h 26mn>
