Film footage taken by Harry Lewis, employee of the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation (YCGC), a gold mining company. Film footage taken at Dawson and Bear Creek, a community approximately 8 miles up the Klondike Valley from the mouth of Dawson, and home to the Lewis' beginning in 1937. Included are shots of Hilda Lewis walking across a pipeline or log, filmed at a dredge pond just out of Bear Creek where the Lewis' used to swim; boys filling in or making a pool in the dredge pond; pulling down rocks; a little creek that came into the south end of the Klondike River near Bear Creek; a double rainbow taken near Arlington Road up on Klondike Valley; a kingfisher with a broken wing; a robin's nest built in a transom over the Lewis' kitchen table in Bear Creek; a pair of bluebirds sitting on a fence at Bear Creek; the Lewis' home in Dawson and a bluebird at the house; and a bridge that went from Bear Creek camp across the little branch of the Klondike River.~Also included are shots of sweet peas growing beside a machine shop in Bear Creek; a bridge possibly built across a branch of the Klondike River; Don Olds, a boy who worked for YCGC; the Lewis' backyard, taken from the back window of their home in Bear Creek; a road over the 60 mile with Mrs. Glossely and Middie DuBoy, dredge master; Chris Glossley on the summit of the 60 mile; cultivated roses and pansies in Dawson; an office and house in Bear Creek; a lost baby snipe; a finch that flew into the bushes near the Lewis' home; a warehouse in Bear Creek; flocks; the Lewis' family home in Bear Creek; unidentified people; a little creek in front of the Lewis' home; Hilda Lewis coming out to the front of their home; a rough plant; Hilda Lewis looking for berries; looking down onto Bear Creek, a community of approximately 80 families in the 1930s; and a brush fire at Bear Creek.
