Short film celebrating the proud institution of the Royal Military College located in Kingston, Ontario. Film is framed with a shot of the RMC coat-of-arms, whose motto reads "Truth, Duty, Valour". Opening master shot shows Port Frederick, the site of the old British Naval Yard. The campus is shown to consist of a huge quadrangle surrounded by the Main Building, Currie Hall, the "Stone Frigate" (one of the original buildings of the naval yard), and the new Fort Frederick Dormitory. Sequences of cadets training in the quadrangle are shown, where they are marching in formation with field rifles. The College's curriculum is shown to be an "equitable blend" of "mental and physical" training consisting of horsemanship, cannon drills, flag communication, calisthenics, and gymnastics. Athletics are described to be "the very foundation of life happiness", and the cadets are shown learning how to fence, box, swim, row, and "to play all manly games" such as cricket. Shown working in his office is Major-General Sir A.C. Macdonnell, who oversees the curriculum at the College and who is known throughout Canada as "the man who led the First Canadian Division to victory in France". Film ends with a reassuring intertitle that claims that the cadet armed with the training, knowledge and the traditions of the College will "successfully grapple with the barbed-wire entanglements, dugouts and enemy trenches of modern life". <11mn>
