Documentry film which follows the evolution of the building elements to the structure of Montreal's Olympic stadium. The magnitude of the project is perceived by examining various intensive operations at Shokbéton Québec Incorporated, one of the pre-fabricated concrete plants called on for this enormous task. Sequences showing: engineers detailing and assimilating thousands of plans; the testing of various types of cement mixtures at the company laboratory and Montreal's research labs; building of wood structures and weaving of steel rods shaped into molds for each component units of the arch and the technical ring; casting of blocks with concrete; architect, Roger Taillibert visiting plant site, and, consulting engineer, J. René Lalancette briefing on the construction and functions of each unit with the aid of a scaled model of the console. <45mn>
