Captioned news items on the following:~Swimming at Oakwood Club. Footage of girls in bathing suits sitting on the edge of the swimming pool; diving from the high board; and sporting about in the water.~Season's Debut. A group of men and women pose for the camera before taking tto the water for their first swim of the season. Children are seen playing in the sand and the bathers, still in their swim suits, dance together on the beach accompanied by a banjo player.~Sports Day for Sailors and Marines in Quebec. Sailors from the M.S. Calcutta and the M.S. Capetown celebrate a day of sports. They are seen with their wives and sweethearts; engaged in foot races; playing football; and in a tug-of-war.~Fred Emmett Wins 50-Mile Walking Race. The 53-year old athlete leads the final lap of a walking race which ends in Calgary, Alberta. Walkers are seen coming down a city street.~Holmes Wins 25-Mile Walk. Holmes and his fellow competitors are seen walking down snow-covered roads, through town streets, and finally entering Calgary where the winner is given a hero's welcome. The runner-up is also given a warm reception. An elegant automobile accompanies the walkers as well as a cyclist.~Banff Carnival. Racing against time, packers are seen putting up and breaking camp as part of the carnival competitions in Banff, Alberta.~Ladies Play Cricket. Women take part in the opening tournaments of the cricket season in Calgary. Seen are women playing. <3mn>
